JEE Main 2020 – Admit Card, Exam Date, New Pattern, Syllabus

NTA has released the sample questions of the new section ‘Numerical Value’ of the JEE Main 2020 exam question paper. Students can check the sample papers to get information about the ‘Numerical Value’ type questions asked in the exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has ended the facility of filling the JEE Main 2020 application form for students from Jammu and Kashmir. JEE Main 2020 Admit Card will be available in online mode on from 6 December. Candidates can download it using their application number and password. NTA opened the JEE Main 2020 Application Form Correctional Facility from October 14 to 20.

JEE Main Application Process 2020

The application process of JEE Main 2020 was ended on October 10, 2019. The National Testing Agency (NTA) started the JEE Main 2020 application process for the January session from 10:30 am on 3 September 2019. Registered candidates can now correct any discrepancies in their uploaded image through the image correction facility.

This year a new type of JEE Main registration process has been used and changes have also been made in the JEE Main Exam Pattern. JEE Main application fees have increased. The number of questions has been reduced and numerical questions have been included as the JEE Main 2020 exam pattern changes. This year the number of JEE Main Examination Centers has also come down from 264 to 233.

Only those candidates who meet the JEE Main 2020 eligibility criteria could apply for this. The registered candidates can download the JEE Main Admit Card from December 6, 2019. The JEE Main 2020 for the January session will be held from 6 to 11 January and the result will be announced on 31 January. The JEE Main exam for April session will be held from April 3 to 9, while its registration process will start from February 7, 2020.

What’s New in JEE Main 2020?

  •  The JEE Main 2020 Information Brochure has been released with several major changes.
  • The JEE Main 2020 application process has been announced overhaul. The registration process has now been expanded with the input of personal details. Apart from this, application face has been increased for each category. The offline payment mode has been completely discontinued and now only online payment facility is available.
  • NTA announced new changes in JEE Main Exam Pattern 2020 with decrease in total number of questions. Numerical questions have been introduced for the first time of JEE Advanced. B.Arch and B.Plan papers have been rescheduled and include planning based questions for B.Plan students. Students of B.Arch have to appear for the drawing test which is the only pen and paper based exam. In addition, each section will be a computer-based test.
  • The total marks for JEE Main Exam has also gone up to 300 for Paper 1 and 400 for Paper 2.
  • The official JEE Main 2020 syllabus has also been released.
  • A query redressal system (QRS) has been set up to answer candidates’ queries / complaints. A unique registration number will be created to monitor the status of questions / complaints.
  • Changes have also been made in the number of JEE Main Examination Centers. This year 233 examination centers (in India) and 9 examination centers (outside India) have been established.

NTA has started registration for the JEE Main Mock Test at the test practice centers on its website. Mock test registrations for the JEE Main 2020 January session will continue from August 10 to December 29. Alternatively candidates can also download the previous year’s test. The JEE Main 2020 result for the second season will be declared on April 30 on the basis of the superior of both scores. The Test Practice Center (TPC) will be operational from September 1, 2019.

JEE Main Application Form 2020

NTA has ended the facility of filling the JEE Main 2020 application form for the students of Jammu and Kashmir. The NTA had released the JEE Main Application Form 2020 form on 3 September 2019 for the January session. The last date for submission of application forms for the January session was 10 October 2019.

Application forms for the April session of JEE Main 2020 can be filled from 7 February to 7 March 2020. Candidates who have registered for the JEE Main 2020 January session will be able to register for the April session using their already created credentials.

For applying, fees payment, submitting documents, downloading admit card and other services, candidates can avail it’s from Common Service Center by paying nominal fees.

Steps to fill JEE Main Application Form 2020

Candidates can follow the steps given below to fill the application form of JEE Main 2020.

Registration: In the first phase, candidates will have to register for JEE Main 2020 by giving the information of eligibility, type of identity, ID Cards, name, date of birth and gender.

JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2020

The NTA has specified the JEE Main 2020 eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria of JEE Main 2020 states all the conditions and desired qualifications that the candidates are required to fulfill. The important points of eligibility criteria are given below.

JEE Main Admit Card 2020

NTA will issue admit card of JEE Main 2020 in online mode for January session on 6 December 2019. Candidates can download admit card using their JEE Main application number and password / date of birth. The examination venue address, time, roll number will be mentioned in the JEE Main 2020 Admit Card. Candidates must compulsorily carry photo identity proof, Passport size photo, and admit card while entering the examination hall on the day of examination.

The JEE Main 2020 Admit Card for April session will be released on 16 March.

JEE Main Syllabus 2020

The NTA released the JEE Main Syllabus 2020 on 2 September 2019. Various subjects and topics asked in the exam will be present in the syllabus. JEE Main Counseling 2020

JEE Main 2020 counseling will be done by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Candidates who have been successful in JEE Main will have to apply for counseling through JoSAA. Registration for JoSAA 2020 is expected to begin in the online mode in the month of June. Allotment of seats will be based on merit, preference of colleges and courses, merit and availability of seats.
